Privacy policy
BPstats+
BPstats+ ("the app") helps you track your blood pressure readings. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it is stored, and your controls over it. The app is designed to keep your health data on your device.
What the app does
BPstats+ lets you log blood pressure readings, including systolic and diastolic values, heart rate (optional), the arm used, date and time, and an optional note. You can review your history, view charts, and export your readings to CSV, TXT, or PDF files.
Data stored on your device
The app stores your readings and notes locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData storage. This data does not leave your device.
The app also stores simple preferences on your device (for example, whether a daily reminder is enabled and the reminder time).
Apple HealthKit
With your permission, the app can write your blood pressure and heart rate readings to the Apple Health app. The app only requests write access to HealthKit — it does not read your health data from HealthKit, and it does not retrieve any health information stored in the Health app.
Health data written to the Health app is stored in the Health app on your device according to Apple's privacy and security practices. You can revoke the app's access to Health at any time in: Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > BPstats+.
Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining.
Local notifications
If you enable the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. Reminder preferences are stored locally, and notifications are generated on your device. No notification or scheduling data is sent anywhere.
Exports
When you export your readings (CSV, TXT, or PDF), the file is created on your device and shared through the system share sheet using the app you choose. The app does not upload or transmit export files.
Information the app does not collect
The app does not:
- collect or transmit any data to the developer or any third party;
- use analytics or crash-reporting services;
- include advertising or in-app purchases;
- track you across apps or websites owned by other companies;
- require an account or collect personal information such as your name, email address, or contact details;
- sync your data to iCloud, any cloud service, or any server.
Your controls and deletion
You can delete individual readings from the History screen at any time. Deleting a reading removes it from the app's local storage. Readings already written to the Health app can be removed from the Health app using the Health app's own management tools.
Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored app data.
Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app does not collect data, there is nothing to collect from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected in updated app releases.
